Lefty is a bi-laterally deaf Bull Terrier who was adopted from his breeder in October of 2000 at 12 weeks old. He is a happy, eager to please boy who was trained in obedience and agility using a combination of hand signals and body language. Lefty is also a Canine Good Citizen and is certified with both TDI and TDInc. He visits local hospitals, nursing homes and a convent.

In 2005 Lefty was awarded an Honorable Mention/Bronze Medallion from the AKC ACE (Award for Canine Excellence) for his therapy work.  In 2006 Lefty qualified and participated in the NADAC Agility Championships in Gillette, Wyoming and had a qualifying round in Tunnelers.  He is currently the only Bull Terrier with an Elite Tunnelers title.
